SHGC TAP (Te Ara Pumanawa, “The path to potential”) students have a programme where they attend their tertiary placement (WITT or TOPEC) on Monday/Tuesday and their work experience on Thursday. On Wednesday and Friday they attend school for life-skills and RST.
SHGC Tappers include a civil engineer, a diesel mechanic, a hospitality/hotel management queen, a hairdresser, an ECE teacher, a beautician and a fitness guru.
